I’m thrilled to present my work at the 12th Annual International Conference of the School of Performing Arts, University of Malta, in collaboration with the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, University of Malta.
Vanishing Acts: AI, Performative Knowledge & Sustainable Memory is an interdisciplinary conference exploring how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the performing arts, cultural memory, and creative authorship. As AI increasingly influences dance, music, and theatre, it raises urgent questions around authenticity, agency, artistic integrity, and ecological sustainability. This conference critically examines the ethical and cultural implications of AI-driven performance, especially in how it may alter or erase embodied knowledge and historical practices. By bringing together artists, researchers, and technologists, the conference offers a platform to reflect on AI’s role in shaping future creative landscapes while preserving diverse narratives and performative traditions.
